Yes it will work

yes it will, even with i3+1080, but if we talk about bottleneck, the i5 will have kinda

HDD is not really reliable

PSU is garbage

You don't need fans tbh

Get an i7 if you can

You don't need an i7 unless your streaming, if your just gaming going with a Kaby i5 with a k and overclocking it will do just fine.

thats optional but if he is getting a 1070, why he doesnt get a 1060 instead? even with 1060 gets bottleneck on games like bf1

A Kaby i5 overclocked will not bottleneck a 1070, there a lot better than you think. I can take an i5-7600k and overclock it to 4.2 Ghz or sometimes higher if you have good enough cooling. The reason I would go out and get an i7 instead of a recent i5 is becuase I play to do recording/streaming or rendering. This is a build I am looking at right now https://pcpartpicker.com/list/fq4mWX

ikr that oc 7600k will hande, but for its budget, he cant afford that cpu so it will bottleneck

also, get z270 mobo and change psu to evga g2 or cx750m or something else
