Automotive Sound Deadening for PC

m0k

has anyone ever considered using this in a PC? I know its heat insulating as well but with good case airflow it shouldnt be an issue right?

might help if there's ticking, buzzing or coil whine bothering you, but you'll still have noise coming from where your fans are. But yeah, as long as you have good airflow you should be fine

I have used something similar.

It sure sticks well, but didn't have as much of an effect as I had hoped probably because most of my noise comes from HDDs which are mounted near air intakes which I don't want to block and they're tightly screwed to a metal chassis which transmits sounds well.
