btw i reset my bios back to stock everything and i didnt touch the voltage this time just left it at "adaptive"  and punched in 4.8 and seems to be much better then the 5 oc in game fps wise

I think you stabilized your OC better and you're now reaping the benefits.  Congrats!

so recently i upgraded from the FX-8350 to the i7-7700K and i seem to be getting the same fps in some games and even worse fps in other games like BF1 and overwatch for example

im running a asus strix gtx 1080

i had my fx-8350 oc'd to 4.3

and i now have my 7700k oc'd to 5.0

any idea why this is happening ?

@5.0 Ghz on the 7700k not delidded, I ran 93C on a custom loop. So your temps would be higher. You're maybe getting thermal throttled. Only thing that comes to mind right now.

Try to uninstall the GPU driver by using DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) and then reinstall them from Nvidia's website.

CPU under 100% load is between 45c and 50c (custom water cooling loop)

GPU at full load about 45-60c

I don't believe that a CPU at 1.45v @5.0 Ghz is at 45C under load theres no way.

Then there is something wrong with your CPU. 45-50C temperatures on 5.0 GHz isn't that realistic. I would recommend to go back to stock frequency and test from there.

I get around 70-80C on my CPU while running at 5GHz. around 1.37V.

Still, and I'm going to state facts here. The 7700k stock is 1.315v, people benchmarked DELIDDED temps, NOT OVERCLOCKED temps of 56C. Yours not delidded running @5Ghz running at 45C is NOT POSSIBLE. It's voltage will automatically bump up when it's needed.

how long do you run prime95 for ?

To get an accurate test, you have to run it until the water is heated up and it gets a real temperature. Not a temperature when the water is cool and the radiator is still cool. This is the reason why people make bigger loops with more radiators, so they can stay cooler longer before it reaches it max temp.

to put it to you simply, those temps and voltages are insanely low.

right, with all respects this is starting to sound like utter bullshit, those cpus idle above 30c so there is no way your running 5ghz at 35c under load

Yes, that's normal if you're gaming in Alaska. Outside in the snow, with your computer under the snow and the snow has iced over.

im being honest and saying these are temps i notice when i just glance over to speed fan when i game it and my idle temp is about 27-30c and im just on youtube or facebook i have the radiator fans at full speed (1800 rpm) so maybe thats why idle is low
