PSU keeps turning off randomly

Hey guys I could use some help with my power supply and/or cabling.

Recently, I was using a SATA/IDE converter to take data out of my old HDDs.

Ever since then, my PSU has been randomly shutting my PC off, and windows does not report a "You didnt shut down correctly" message.

Ive actually swapped the PSU with a brand new one, but the PC still turns off randomly, so it must be a cable or a component.

The cooling on the PSU is functional, the fan is rotating as needed.

Components have not changed outside the SATA/IDE converter (which used a SATA and MOLEX cable.)

 

What could make a PSU randomly shut itself off? How can I properly test which cable or component is the issue?

PSU make and model?
ambient temperature in your room?

PC specs? (so we know approximate max power draw on the CPU)

overclock?

Voltage system? 115v or 230v?

Grounded or no grounded socket?
