I am currently doing a business course and am doing a module on starting your own business. Naturally, as a techie i thought about a custom building PC company, i now just need to have a survey filled out to allow me to complete the module.

ignore if you want, fill it out if you want anything helps.

add in any additional problems if you want in the comments

I filled it out, but for the graphics card question I would like to elaborate.

I like reference or blower style cards in ITX cases that will not have as much air flow so the GPU does not release hot air back into the case, and board partner or custom cards in bigger systems like M-ATX, ATX, and E-ATX.

Kinda seems like you should ask real customers this. Like it doesn't make allot of sense to ask us this in preparation because every customer who comes through your door is going to want something different. Maybe an old lady comes in and want something low end so she can do her taxes and walk on Skype but if a friend of mines comes in he might want a balls to the wall gaming rig.

You do have a valid point their. But, I think it would be good to do the survey here on the forum and with your customer base as well.

thanks for the opinion, i will be focusing the 'business' on gamers and content creators ect as that is what i know about, i would be able to change it for the old lady. however i feel that that would be about 20% or under in terms of expected sales as no marketing would be focused towards the consumer market. thanks again :)

I don't see the value of questioning forum members unless you plan on selling exclusively to them. Considering 90% of the users on this forum are hardcore PC users they will likely build their systems themselves. You'd be way better off asking people who actually come to you to buy systems.

You can get input from some of the most educated PC users here to get inspiration for your business though.

im doing this to see where the majority of gamers are willing to pay, so i can get a rough idea on what i would offer in the fictional business. and as it is aimed towards pc gamers i feel forums like this is the best place to reach lots of like minded people quickly
