you could go for a cheaper motherboard, and you dont need an i7 7700k

gtx 1080 please :) since we're going balls to the walls..

Ryzen 5 3600 stock | 2x16GB C13 3200MHz (AFR) | GTX 760 (Sold the VII)| ASUS Prime X570-P | 6TB WD Gold (128MB Cache, 2017)

138 is a good number.

Whats your budget?

If the budget allows, an i7 should be included, i5 is fine now if you have one, but if building new, 2 -3 years, games want more cores/threads

Spoiler

MRW I saw someone else pair a I7 7700K with a GTX 1060.

really-4.jpg

I research all the cost of those parts and i assumed the total cost is 1200. so that's your budget and i made you a better build, that is more balanced and better overall. Here is:

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant

CPU: Intel Core i5-7600K 3.8GHz Quad-Core Processor  ($238.75 @ OutletPC)

Highlight's:

- Better PSU with the NEW G3 series of EVGA. 650W is enough for any single video card EVEN THE TITAN X (PASCAL). All those PSU average score was around 9.7/10 from Jonnyguru.

-Changed the videcard for the GTX 1070. better than the overpriced and less powerful by 5% RX480. sorry the GTX1060

- Added 2TB of HDD.

At the risk of upsetting Seagate fans, I would suggest changing that Seagate drive to a Western Digital Blue one.  I've seen far more Seagate drives fail, and they've gotten a bad reputation for it.

For the record, your setup would not work.  I took the time to add everything into PC Part Picker (I guessed on the fans and DVD drive), but your cooler and case aren't compatible.

Click on "PCPartPicker list" in my previous post, then click Case to see all cases that are compatible.

I have this one (except in white) and it works great.  It's black with blue LED fans, so it would match your theme.  You might have to remove one of the HDD cages to fit the GPU in, but that would only be a problem if you needed more than 4 drives or something.

There are only two things that I don't like about the case.  The first is that opening the panel for the DVD drive is a little difficult until you get used to it.  You have to press exactly the right spot to open it, and it took me awhile to figure out where that was.  The second is that the top isn't flat, so you can't put any papers or stuff on top of it.

I actually agree with Antony here.  I understand wanting to keep the basic build you picked out, but unless you're doing incredibly CPU intensive tasks, you should dial down the CPU a little and go for a nicer GPU.  You've got a good GPU and an amazing CPU.  You won't see the benefits of the CPU in gaming though, because the GPU can't keep up.  If you're using it for gaming, change your CPU an i5-7600K and your GPU to any GTX 1070 (the different models are basically just fans and appearance).

I used to have an i3-4170 and a GTX 750 Ti.  I upgraded my CPU to an i7-4790K, which is the most powerful one available for the LGA 1150 socket.  I saw zero performance improvement in gaming.  Until I save up money to get a nicer GPU, the CPU won't do me much good.

Seems like a pretty good build, except I'm a bit iffy on the power supply- here's a good whitelist, try to find one that suits your budget/location:

Also try and use pcpartpicker.com next time, just makes it a bit easier for everyone to read. Good luck and have fun!

Wifi is 2.4 GHz only!

Case is preference thing.

The rest is sick and I am sure you will have a lot of fun with it.

what's the difference between x42 and x62?

That's why I only mentioned air supercoolers (like top-tier noctua's).
