Deathadder 2013 uses high CPU?

I have an i7 3770. When i move my mouse really fast with chrome open, it uses 14% CPU, 4% CPU without chrome open. Why?

What takes that much cpu as in what process

Windows explorer uses 4%, Chrome uses 8%

what os are you running and have you tried the same actions with a different mouse

I tried it on my laptop (i7 3610QM) and got 4% windows explorer usage, 5% chrome usage

Using a different mouse fixed it. I think it is the polling rate.

you can adjust the polling rate in the drivers

i can get a 11 percent cpu usage increase with my razer naga on a 4.2 ghz 3770k

Yeah i'm getting the same thing. CPU goes from 5-6% up to 14-17% when I'm rapidly moving my M65
