Need help with 8 pin cpu configuration

So I have a server motherboard and i need two 8 pin cpu connectors. I know that a cpu 8 pin is 4 ground 4 live. my 6 pin pcie is 3 ground 3 live, and i have 2 of them. so i was wondering that if i have it with one 6 pin is in and another 6 pin with only 2 of it connectors plugged in will it work. The wiring would be correct though with 3 ground + 3 live + 2 Ground + 2 live.

Not sure about this, but aren't voltages different?

You can simply get an adapter if you are in need of an extra EPS connection:
