GAME ONE or (headphone+mic)

I play alot of overwatch and other fps games, I would like something that has really good soundstage and not overused bass.I am currently looking at the game ones though I can't seem to find the updated version on amazon, which makes me think that there isnt a place that ships to the UAE that has the updated version at a 200$ usd or less price point. People have recommended using a headset plus modmic which I personally dont like the look of. But I cant find somewhere that says alot of really good headphones to game on. I play on pc and ps4.

Game one/zeros aren't that bad I think its the 558's drivers and a decent headset mic and extremely comfortable

Only alternative I would try is dt770 with a snowball or mod mic, or some other headphone

770s are fine for competitive shooters, I've used it in overwatch and cs. Its fine also extremely comfortable and sound great for the price ;)

They are closed (Number one downfall for gaming)

The Plantronics Gamecom 788 is also closed black but still made for gaming and I can tell you it was a really good headset for the price. Take Astro gaming headsets as an example they're closed back but one of the best gaming headphones out there.

They're mildly overpriced and are not "good for gaming" compared to other options.

I used to have a pair.

I don't own a PS4 - can you plug in 3.5mm headphones to those consoles easily without having to buy some extra adapters and whatnot?

There's a list of headphones in the pinned thread in this subforum you could look at if you want to get some actual headphones (other than the M50X).

did you seriously call astros good headsets...  Astros are overpriced, overrated and overused. Have you ever seen a real audiophile use them? Thats your number 1 answer and every gaming headset except sennys are super overrated with very little exceptions.

It has 1 combo 3.5mm jack (weak to the point of a phone) 2 shitty usb ports (really slow 2.0) and a single optical port (good)

I'm talking out of experience lol. I'm recommending you some headphones that I self use(d) and had good experience with.

Actually the game series the closed back ones sound like trash, also they use the 518's drivers

Opens sound okay

Grab the 770s

I've heard Dmitri from hardware canucks (my god when it comes to headphones) say the zeros are below par and the ones are above par.

I wont take a closed back headphone for gaming, end of.

Then don't buy them lol. If you really can't decide what headphones to buy you can look up reviews of certain headphones and see how they are. You can go to a local store and maybe try out some headphones that suite your preferences..

Sadly all local stores sell here are astros and turtle beaches.

I can't name off every headphone with a removable jack that can use this, but you could get a headphone that has a removable cable and a jack that will accept a V Moda BoomPro mic. It'll be like having a gaming headset but not a gaming headset. It should work fine with the PS4 too according to their website. If you can even order the BoomPro where you are in the world.

If you can, I would recommend two headsets that I know would take the jack without issues: Philips SHP9500 for the budget option, then the Fidelio X2 for the I have money to spend so why not option - depends on how much they cost where you are.

I own both headsets and they're good for what they are, especially for gaming for most people.

Not sure about that. I think the GAME ONE is essentially a 518 (or something like that) with an expensive mic on it - could be wrong though. I really don't think those are worth the money as they have gamer tax written all over it. Plus, I guarantee you the SHP9500s are more comfortable.

There are other recommended options in the stickied thread that I linked earlier.
