hiya all

 

i have an old 770 evga that was drop from about 6 inches, but now will no longer power on. i dont see any visable damage on the card. any idea on where i should look to see whats wrong with it...

 

will not send video to display when powered on. fans spin as well.

CPU- Intel i9 9900k | Motherboard- ASUS ROG Strix Z390-I | RAM- Kingston HyperX 32GB | GPU- Nvidia 2080ti Reference

Case- NCase v6.1 | Storage- x2 2tb WD m.2  | PSU- Corsair SF750 | Cooling- NZXT Kraken X52

take it apart and see if you damaged any wires

pulled it apart, no visible damage to the pcb, i dont see any damaged caps.... i also dont see any wires aside from the fans and its fine

i plugged it in without the heatsink and it worked. gonna try to put it back on and see if i fixed it somehow
