Can certain Realtek Drivers Cause Static?

VibesJunk

I have the newest driver for realtek HD audio installed and coupled with my new z270 PC MATE, I have been getting random static noises which is quite annoying. I am not sure if it is a board issue, or the drivers.

Could also be cable issues. Have you verified it's not that?

The cable that plugs into the back of your computer from your speakers. Plug in your phone or another audio device and see if the same symptoms are present.

Sounds like a board issue.

With such a brand new board model, there may be some small defect due to the new technology and in-experience of the factory workers when working with the new MOBO.

When i got my first X99 board (the same week X99 was publicly available) i had 2 dead RAM slots.

This is to be expected with brand new manufacturing and products.

It takes refinment to get a mobo working perfectly

RMA it, and get a replacement

Grounded meaning that where it plugs into the wall for electricity, it has 3 metal inserts and not 2. Make sure your PC and audio system is grounded.

All this stuff started happening after a new motherboard installation so I do not believe it is the grounding issue

If nothing has changed except the motherboard, and it did not have static before, then the logical answer is its the motherboard or the installation of it.
