Will this cpu cooler work with my cpu

So i found a cpu cooler that has a 47w tdp and my i5 6400 has a 65w tdp so would it work or not

That doesn't make sense. CPU coolers don't have a TDP. What is the model of the cooler?

get a 212 or a t4, your cpu won't get too hot, if you cans stand the noise use the standard fan.
