While working on one of my projects I broke one of my Phobia temp sensors. It turned out to be an easy fix using a bread tie and some luck.

The black plastic collar just slips off to expose the end of the sensor that tor away from the fitting (held in place by foam).

You can see the slim foam in the lower right side of the above pic which holds the end of the sensor against the metal fitting..

The tie wrap is inserted between the two leads than wrapped around the fitting than twisted together and the foam reinstalled sliding the black collar back into place.

Yes, thats all they are, I'm sure that's all most of them are. I have four different 10k sensors I'm hoping to have time to test to see which one is closer to actual water temps.
