If you have more money then sense or with sense 5.0 HTC ONE burned other android devices............get the best 290X or 780Ti they will definitely be around for the next 3 years

Ultimate minecraft texture packs running 512bit, running full on shaders on ultimate 50% gpu utilization on 780Ti and 290X

Next 3 years?

That is hard... but if you are willing to take high settings and not max, then it will be most likely possible. It's hard to say, as no one can predict the future, and new consoles are coming out, which means expect more demanding game than what we usually have.

For this GPU, you need to wait for Nvidia Maxwell in early 2014. The up side, is that your budget will be a bit bigger, possibly.

Maxwell is Nvidia next generation architecture GPU. We know extremely little about it, and we don't know what will be on the consumer model (GeFroce), and what will be on the professional/research side (Quadro/Tesla).

I would get a R9 290 or a 7950/7970 if your country still has these cards in stock.
