Spoiler

I've almost saved enough money to build my first pc , so I've been putting together my final parts list. I decided to get an unlocked chip (7600k) in case I want to overclock later, but I don't know much about cpu cooling. I'm thinking the best way to go might be to get something like a Corsair H100i.

I live in the southwest US, so rubbers and plastics really dry out and crack quickly here. If I get a liquid cooler, will it be in any danger of leaking?

Do you care about looks of your PC?

Yes: Get a 240mm liquid cooler from a trusted brand

No: Get the Noctua NH-D15

Answer to your question: No, your components are fine.

Then every car and air conditioning unit in the Southwest would be in danger.

You'll be fine :)
