So I want to build a comp in a desk drawer so I can easily pull it out and take it elsewhere if needed and not build it on the underside of the desk like Linus did. I want to do this because my parents are strict and don't want me to have electronics in my room at night. Also this is ment to be a gaming rig.

part list

cpu- intel core i3-7320

cpu cooler- corsair h100i v2

mobo- mid h1101 pro mini

memory- corsair dominator platinum 2x8

(because why not)

ssd- intel 730 480GB

Psu- EVGA supernova 650w gold

gpu- asus gtx 560 DCII (it's what I have on me I'll upgrade it to a 1060 later)

What are your thoughts on this thank you~

don't go for the water cooler probably not easy to mount in a drawer and not needed unless your overclocking also you could get a 256 gb sandisk ssd and a 1tb hard drive for the price of that ssd and then you might be able to get a better gpu also maybe go with a i3 6100 it is good value for its performance kaby lake aren't very much better unless you can overclock.

EDIT: go for the i3-7100 didn't realise it was the same price as the 6100

Get an i5

Don't get a water cooler if CPU is locked

Is it EVGA NEX PSU? If yes then trash it

I believe there are cheaper RAM and SSD you are spending on it too much

Why not is not a good reasoning

i3 will be fine for most games.

awful psu. also you need BIOS update with h110 board

would have put an evga in there but apparently they are shit(they work fine) and if you buy the board new the it will already be updated unless it has been sitting on a shelf since mid december.

I figured he wanted at least semi modular because cable management would be horrible in a drawer unless he doesn't care because no one will see if but for non modular yes those are better.

What is your price range? If you don't mind spending $800 right away, you could get an RX480 with it. That is pretty much a 1060 6gb with a lower price tag. The 1060 3gb is basically a 1050ti and is about the same price as a 4gb rx 480 and the 4gb doesn't have much of a performance difference from the 8gb version. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/xdMKGf

I made a part list with an i5-7600k, a great air cooler, a really nice GPU, and a z270 mobo so you can overclock your i5.
