Thanks to @AkiraDaarkst for answer my question in his topic.

----------------------------------------------------

I am not a native English speaker, forgive my Grammatical errors.

I use camera for some Youtube videos, and net photos. a lots of are OUTDOOR DAYLIGHT, or use LED LIGHT KIT.

So maybe I am not to think about SONY A7S2, also cuz it is too expensive.

I think Panasonic G7, G8, GH4, GH5 are good choices, but GH5 will come soon in March 23, 2017(Japan). It can take double SD cards, and unlimited video record time. COOL.

BODY PRICE(JPY) PRICE(USD)
G7 48000 429.264
GH4 101000 903.243
G8 102284 914.725812
GH5 233160 2085.14988

GH5 is PRE-ORDER.

all of these prices are a little bit rise in these days than before. I can't tell why. Maybe sold very well, out of stock.

I did not buy these body before cuz I know nothing of SPEEDBOOSTER and Lens.

Panasonic lens selection seems more complex.

Then is EOS 80D.

BODY PRICE(JPY) PRICE(USD)
EOS 80D 102501 916.666443

----------------------------------------------------

400USD, 900USD, Where are the disparity and differences?

I realized that GH5 is very expensive when it includes len, I can offer it with 3000USD, but can't offer a batter len.

So I think a cheaper body with a nice len, not bad. cuz maybe I change the body few years later, but I can keep the lens.

What do you think of it ?

Thanks for all your comments and responses.

You want a camera for Photo and Video use?  If you don't want to spend too much money, the G7 or GH4 would be ok but they use MFT sensors with a higher crop factor than a camera like the Canon 80D.

Advantage of Panasonic cameras (G7, GH4, etc.)

  • 4K video (but I don't think you should prioritize on this as a necessary feature)
  • Mirrorless and with the use of adapters like a Speedbooster you can mount faster lenses from brands like Sigma, Nikon, Canon

Disadvantage

  • MFT sensor, with a 2x crop factor

A camera like the 80D

  • slightly larger sensor
  • only 1080p video

A cheaper body with a set of nice lenses might be a good idea for you.  Good lenses last far longer than camera bodies.

You can also consider cameras like a Sony A6000 or A6300 or A6500 series.

Everything depends on your budget, which should also take into account accessories:

  • lenses
  • microphones
  • batteries
  • memory cards
  • bags

Thank you very much.

I like the 4K, the video will be the main theme. I use my samsung S7 Edge to take photos usually, share with social media, it's not bad. and very convenient.

the budget, I have 3000USD for all kits. I think that should be enough. but I don't want to Spend all the money if I am not going to choose GH5.

About Panasonic, sounds must need a Speedbooster.

Can you help me to list a A6300 choice, and a G7 choice, with lenses ?

I choose to use a speedbooster as an adapter for my A6500 because of the telecompressor glass elements inside the adapter.  When I mount my full frame Nikon lenses, I don't lose that much of the angle of view due to the crop factor and I gain about 1 stop of light.  But a speedbooster for Nikon lenses are non-electronic adapters.  For Canon you can get electronic speedbooster adapters from Metabones, they cost about $600.

Whether you go with the G7 or A6300, you can find reviews and comparisons about them online.

For the lenses, if you buy the camera bodies online look for lenses in the used market.  Especially if you plan to use adapter(s), then you have access to a wide variety of lenses in that second hand market.

If you don't go for an adapter, perhaps lenses that fall somewhere between this focal length range: 14mm to 70mm would be a start.

Panasonic DMC-G7H-K + 14-140mm = 640 USD

even the same 14-140mm, they have different prices.

how about this set, for a beginner ?

I can keep the money for upgrade. If I take a 2000USD camera to go out, a litter bit worry.

G7 with 14-140mm len
32GB 90MB/s SD card *2

Looks like a good deal to me, I only recommend you get more than 2 32GB memory cards.  Go for 64GB or 128GB cards from Sandisk and probably more than 2 batteries for the camera.  If you start filming in 4K they will eat up memory cards fast.

Wichever you go with, A6300 or G7 I would get a fast prime. What focal length depends on your use but personally I really like slightly longer ones that would be a 85-135 equivilent with an aparture of at least 2.8.

Which of those bodies is up to you though. The sony is smaller and probably has more features and a lot better AF but it costs a lot more. Really both bodies should be very good with the right lenses. With your budget you maybe even could get some cheap Rokinon/Samyang cinelenses.

Yes, you are right. Up to 64G will be batter. Thank you.

Make sure to buy cards that are fast enough for 4K, and a good card reader to read those SD's. Personally I would buy SanDisk cards. I like them and they are usally cheaper than Lexars.

What do think about  speedbooster ? I know it can help the panasonic to use sigma art lenses. and get a nice view.

If I wish to buy a G7 with Panasonic LUMIX G VARIO 14-140mm F3.5-5.6 ASPH. POWER O.I.S., and a wide len which is Panasonic  7-14mm F4.0  G VARIO ASPH. H-F007014, how do you think ?

use speedbooster and sigma lenses is batter ?

I mainly shoot street video, and some Time-lapse, and some scale model toys.

Well, when you shoot timelaps I doubt you will need te extra stop of light usally.

The speedbooster is an expensive investment. But sure the sigma ART lenses are said to be really good. (But doesn't the well regarded 18-35 1.8 ship nativly for m4/3?). If you need the extra stop of light or may benefit from say owning Canon EF mount lenses to use on a second Canon body it may be a good investment. But personally I would only really use it if there is a need. (As two bodies with different mounts, special lenses not to be found on m4/3 native or id you really need the extra light)

So , if I will upgrade to GH5(best like GH5) one day. (actually I am going to pre-order GH5 last week, but I worry I can't play it well)

not One-step to best kit, for a beginner.

-------------------------------------------

G7 body only = 427 USD

G7 +  LUMIX G VARIO 14-140mm F3.5-5.6 = 638 USD   (len only = 394 USD )

(Does this set is Worth?   or body only and search for other batter lenses ?)

I actually have no clue about that lens. But I can say that if you have the budget I would probably get the body only and then 2-3 other lenses that doesn't come in a kit.

Now, I don't do a lot of video at all. I might do when I can afford a A6300 or similar body but for photos these are the lenses I would want:

  • A wide angle
  • A normal zoom
  • A longer tele
  • A fast prime

Now I use the Sony E mount so I'm not so good on m4/3 lenses but I can give a rough saying of what focal lengths I would use, but remember, this is highly personal and depends on your style.

  • 18 or 20mm f/2.8 or faster
  • 24-70 f/2.8
  • 70-200 f/4
  • 35, 50, or 85 f/1.4

These are what I would like and what I'm saving to get in Full Frame eqivilent. (The 24-70 has the same FOV as a 16-50 on a APS-C body, and on a m4/3 body it would be a 12-35)

I do however know lenses like these are expensive. This is what I would ideally want. But really, a fast normal zoom and a fast prime is a good start in my opinion. The low f-stops will give a nice DOF and be really sweet for portraits.

But as I said, it all depends on how you shoot.

Just have to ask, did you consider the G85? As it comes with In body stabilasation and a Weather sealed body

sorry I can not find G85 in Japan. maybe it has a other name or didn't come to Japan.

I saw it, which has very well stabilization.

[Newly developed in-body gyro sensor adds class-leading 5-axis body stabilization that when mated to LUMIX 2-axis optically stabilized lenses for a “Dual IS” effect, is worth nearly 5 f-stops in video and still capture.]

----------------------------------

Like the GH4, which only 900 USD, but a new GH5 coming. So I am thinking to buy a lowest one like G7, to save money to spend on lenses and others like RODE VIDEOMIC. which I can always keeping.

Yep, that seems reasonable. Just wanted to make sure you knew it existed. Considered adding a cage to the setup? To clamp batteries, mics, and so forth on?

oh. there is 3:23 AM . I am going to sleep ... so tired...

thanks for your patience.

I haven't decided, speedbooster or not. it will take some times for oversea shipping.(too expensive in local market).

in that time , panasonic has some new lenses. March.

I'd personally start out slow if I were you.  Don't be too eager to jump into it by buying all the gear you want.  The G7 and a basic lens sounds like a good starting point. The kit you posted earlier that costs about $1000 would be a good starting point.  Learn to use the camera, learn the techniques and then as you grow you will figure out what is necessary and what isn't.  Learn to walk before you run.
