HDD does not show?

I turned on my custom pc for the first time today and everything went fine but my HDD does not show. A friend of mine mentioned something about Raid 1 and 0 but i do not know what that means? I am pretty sure the cables are fine and all. Oh yeah btw it did show when I was selecting where to install Windows

I did drop it the day I got it from about 15cm, but I'm sure it works.

You need to format it first using Disk Management or some other third party tool like Minitool Partition Wizard.

start menu - my computer right click (manage) - disk management

I hate to be that guy, but this sounds like a dead drive to me.

I installed that but it was not necessary
