Wtf. Plz help

I have an old system i built. Specs of it: 

E8500

Palit gso 9600

8gb ddr2

Gigabyte ep35c ds3r

5400 rpm sata 2 250gb hdd

450w prudent way psu

 

I installed win 10 on it and i had a q9550 on hand so i switched it so i had more power. I had an intel e8500 stock cooler and i thought that would be enough to cool it. So i powered on windows 10 with the q9550 in and it goes into the windows logo and freezes there. Is it a power issue? Is it drivers? If so tell me and if theres a solution

probably bad cpu then. Its not the cooler

stuff can be bad, but still kinda work, just unstable

 

does it work perfectly if you put the old cpu in?

Yes. But crashes if you have to many windows open as it is a dual core

by crash do you mean blue screen, or is it just really slow?

 

core coun't won't make it crash, the kernel already runs 1000's or threads on each cpu

 

You probably have a bad cpu,

It crashes with the e8500. Like it just turns off. With the q9550 it freezes at the win 10 loading screen

Might be bad ram or bad motherboard then. I'd try taking out all the ram sticks but one.
