How can i connect to a network as a desktop or laptop

So my school changed their network password and blacklisted any devices that connect as mobile, i know the passkey but is there a way i can make my phone connect to the network as a non-mobile device? i use android marshmallow.

you could probably look up mac address by who has them and get most of them.

 

Im guessing they just ask for the system identifer in the web browser and bock it if it says andriod or iphone(or windows phone but really)

well if u had win 10 i would tell you to connect to the network with that and then create a local hotspot with your laptop, you can still do this with win 8.1 but u need some extra software i think

 

also if your school has a list of blacklisted websites then im pretty sure that you wouldnt get them either

my router shows my phone as android-then a bunch of numbers so it might be that

man that would be the most hacky way to do it.

 

user agent string on the web redirect page seems better.

I don't think there using that, won't help at all

 

Do they have a browser redirect?

 

You can often get past these with mac spoofing, but im not teaching your that.
