DiRT 3 launching

I got dirt 3 off a 3rd party store and i installed it not through steam. if i try to launch it it just opens steam to the main page and it won't do anything

That sounds to me like a pirated version of the game and you havent cracked it so its redirecting you to steam to buy it...


that or you have been taken for a ride. 

If I was to guess though I would say the former.

ok. its not on steam anymore. thats why i got it form somewhere else

A valid key would still work. its still on steams servers and I can prove it to you

 

 

Furthermore, I can't think of any key reseller that also hosts the games itself for download. So your story isn't adding up.

Codemasters licensing has run out on Dirt 3 so they cant sell it anymore. Finding keys wont be terribly easily.

IMO you are better off with dirt rally through or waiting for dirt 4 (most likely)
