Are there any micro USB cables that will last me more than a month? I have problems with its cables because they rarely last me more than a month. The connector itself on the devices are fine but the cables, no matter how well treated have to be angled to charge or don't charge at all.I've even had the metal piece just come right out. Should I buy a boatload of cheap USB cables?

I've had the same micro usb cable for various things for like 2 years (cheap one from ebay)

It gets used multiple times a day each day.

Its still like new.

Treat your cables properly and not yanking them out, what do you mean angled?

What I mean by angled is they have to be tilted to work. Yeah and some cables are just doomed, like my G930 cable. I don't yank on them but often times I use my phone while it is plugged in because it's battery sucks.

I wouldn't say I treat my cables bad. I just use them a lot.

MicroUSB is a terrible connector. I just bought a ton of cables (were on sale for like $0.50 at Fry's) because I use tons of devices that use MicroUSB. I still take good care of them and the connector always breaks eventually.

Spoiler

Thats a fault with whatever you are plugging in, not the cable.

Mine plug in straight.

You can't break these cables unless you put unnecessary pressure on the connector.

Yes its a fragile connector (could easily just grab the end and snap the connector of without that much force), no one says it isn't, but you can't break them unless you deserved it, take the connect out STRAIGHT, not yanking it out.  Don't treat them like other connectors which are allot thicker and can take the abuse.  Yes they suck, but its something you gota live with.

I would just make a DIY cap using something like cardboard to cover the micro usb from being bent.

When you're charging whatever, don't let the cable hang off the side of a table or something. Always keep it supporting. Don't allow the stress to happen in the metal contact area. I've ruined a couple cables this way.
