phone keyboard

My phone keyboard isn't working. It doesn't appear at all in any apps.

I tried resetting it, but it didn't at all. 

I went to settings, and when I went to the keyboard settings, the whole thing was lightly colored. It was like transparent. I mean, there was a check mark, but like I said, it was transparent.

I have an LG Optimus L9 P769
