HDD Light Doesn't Work

Go to solution Solved by LabRat,

yeah, you're right. ( PL )..??

the HD light is supposed to blink when it's being accessed.

goota add, I never pay attention to it ans almost run SSD inclusive.

So i finished my build and I noticed the HDD light of my NZXT Manta was not on.

So i opened my rig, put the HDD cable out then in again and when i turned it on I saw the LED flicker for a bit but it did not stay on. Also it is placed correctly, I attached a copy of the manual.

It's not a deal breaker but kind of dissapointed...

What do I do?

is it me or is the power switch on the wrong pins?

I'm pretty sure its right, otherwise it would not turn on right? lol

Anyway...does this information below mean that if I did not even install Windows on it that it should NOT really turn on??

And when my LED did flash it was the HDD or SSD doing some light work??

''A hard drive activity light is a small LED light that illuminates whenever the hard drive or other built-in storage is being read from or written to.''

Does the power on light work?  If so make sure the solid black wire and the black with line wire of the hdd light are facing the same way as the power on light.  LEDs to matter what direction they're plugged in.  In the case of your motherboard the positive side is on the bottom for both LEDs.

There's something cool here - you just can't see it.
