*With a generic PSU - 600W

This is currently my PC.

I want to upgrade it with $100 on hand. What should I upgrade first? Then the next one?

*I dont need those ultra high settings on gaming. I'm fine with low - medium + stable fps :)*

Why not go with an i3 6100? It's the same price and faster I believe.

he's already got this machine it seems.

I'd say get a cheap kit of 8Gb RAM off eBay or maybe some used and save for a new GPU

idk

try to get your hands on a new GPU - something like a 470 4GB, 1050Ti, 3GB 1060, or 4GB 480 would do.

even go used: look for a used 970, 290x, 980, Fury/X, etc.

idk

1050Ti is pretty decent for high-ultra at 1080p.

I'd still suggest going used, since that's equal to a GTX 770 (without the 230W TDP)

idk

if you are happy with your current frame rates in games then get a ssd becoz it will speed up your computer by a big jump.(loading speeds will be fast) Transfering files will be faster than ever before.

OR

if not than you get some graphics card from some where in 50$ (*cough* mostly secondhand) and get increse in frame rates by 5 to 10%.

Overall it depends upon you.

I am seriously not happy with my current fps with Watch Dogs 2. I'm skipping frame rates, maybe its because of my ram?

But yeah I'm thinking of buying a ram first before upgrading my gpu

This is true - a new GPU is expensive, and <$75 is a very restrictive budget. I'm giving him suggestions for him to buy in the future to speed up his PC. Even an i3 won't bottleneck a midrange card that much.

I'd say an SSD would be worth the money - it's a real big difference between HDD loading and SSD loading times these days.

WD2 is very, very CPU bound. It's not very well optimised either for 2GB GPUs, leading to framedrops..

Upgrade your RAM, do it in steps.

idk
