As a person who plans for the future, (only occasionally this happens,) I'm looking for an upgrade for my AMD FX-6300 Black Edition! Intel or AMD (or if it just is compatible with AMD, then I'm all good,) is fine with me as long as it fits under my $150 - $200 budget. My specs at the moment are

Motherboard: M5A78L-M AM3+ socket

PSU: EVGA 500W

RAM: 16GB Corsair Vengeance DDR3

GPU: it's the GeForce GT 730 at the moment but I'm getting the RX 470 as an upgrade

Also, I use my PC as editing, recording, occasionally rendering, and gaming. So I would like to know my best options.

Thanks for reading!

Where do you live? Does RX 470 include in the budget? If not go intel i5/i7 or wait for Ryzen

US. And the RX 470 isn't in the budget.

Something like this and reuse the RAM. If that's bit too high then go used

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant

CPU: Intel Core i5-4460 3.2GHz Quad-Core Processor  ($175.49 @ OutletPC)
Motherboard: MSI H81M-P33 Micro ATX LGA1150 Motherboard  ($42.88 @ OutletPC)
Total: $218.37
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available

Waiting for Ryzen would be a good option if you can wait and save some more, or sourcing a used i5+motherboard would be a good option if you don't mind switching platforms. Simply buying a FX-8300 with a good cooler and overclocking is also a reasonable option.
