I have been running my H100I GTX for a while on my I7 4790K now I got it early last year. For the past few weeks my temps have gone from averaging 50s to 70s in Far Cry 4. Obviously pretty hot. I tried to reapply thermal paste and clean out my pc, that dropped the temps for a day then right back up. Went through again and double checked all cords and everything. Always would go down for a little bit and go back up. So recently I decided to just run Prime95 and see if anything I can do will lower the temps at all. Well I pushed the block nothing. Turned up all fans 2 degree drop. Finally I tapped the hoses and it went down from 80 to 70. YAY!!! we're getting somewhere. Not they started to rise soon so I tapped a little harder and they went down to 60 and stayed there. Switched off my computer and bam problems back. So I hit it again and they go down. So I jiggle the hoses and the radiator by unscrewing it and give it a nice few wacks. Now my temps are hitting 55c running prime95. Even after I turn it off. My question is what would cause this issue? and will it come back and be ongoing? Thanks sorry for the text wall. Sorry if I didn't put this in the right area this is my first post.

Those coolers run with a anti-freeze like coolant with a biocide, it might need to be refilled since over time even closed loop water coolers can lose some water, which can mean air bubbles and or air locked pump.

How would I go about refilling it if possible? or would that just be a RMA issue?

not possible to refill an aio the easy way (but there are some exceptional units where that's possible) You could try to contact Corsair, but i doubt that you will achieve much. Asking is free :)

Yea I believe it is the H100s have a 5 year warranty I believe and I've had it for prob a little under a year if not close.

Hmm, it could be a pump problem if the product is not even 2 years old yet, Contacting Corsair then would be best then. Would be the safest bet

Did you update or start using any new monitoring software since it changed? Take a look at my signature and make sure that's not your issue.

Having issues with a Corsair AIO? Possible fix here:

Spoiler

Are you getting weird fan behavior, speed fluctuations, and/or other issues with Link?

Are you running AIDA64, HWinfo, CAM, or HWmonitor? (ASUS suite & other monitoring software often have the same issue.)

Corsair Link has problems with some monitoring software so you may have to change some settings to get them to work smoothly.

-For AIDA64: First make sure you have the newest update installed, then, go to Preferences>Stability and make sure the "Corsair Link sensor support" box is checked and make sure the "Asetek LC sensor support" box is UNchecked.

-For HWinfo: manually disable all monitoring of the AIO sensors/components.

-For others: Disable any monitoring of Corsair AIO sensors.

That should fix the fan issue for some Corsair AIOs (H80i GT/v2, H110i GTX/H115i, H100i GTX and others made by Asetek). The problem is bad coding in Link that fights for AIO control with other programs. You can test if this worked by setting the fan speed in Link to 100%, if it doesn't fluctuate you are set and can change the curve to whatever. If that doesn't work or you're still having other issues then you probably still have a monitoring software interfering with the AIO/Link communications, find what it is and disable it.

I don't think so I haven't used any of those programs I mostly use MSI afterburner and realtemp and for stress testing I used Prime95 26.6. Thanks though
