Staining a design on case window

Go to solution Solved by rodrosenberg,

Bead blasting the window using a vinyl template works really well and then to add color you just hit it with some transparent airbrush paint. Do all this in reverse from the backside of the panel.

For my next build, I had the idea of modding the window on my case with a design.

At the center of the case window on the nzxt s340, I want to put a custom see through decal that would be tinted red with light shining through it.

Has anyone attempted something like this before?

You can use colored tint and get it custom cut to a certain desgin or pattern using a vinyl cutter if it's complex and apply it onto the window. It would be the same as applying vinyl wrap.
