Powerline adapters and Surge Protectors

I assume so, that's how mine had been for a year or so before I stopped using powerline anyway. I never even thought it would be a problem, pass through seems to suggest it passes the load through, unless I totally misinterpreted it. But never had any problems with it... I wasn't putting much load through though TBH.

I have a surge protector and a powerline adapter i want to use. The powerline adaptor has a power pass thru, however its size takes up the whole outlet, effectively limiting the outlet to only 1 hole. The powerline adaptor says it filters the electricity for devices plugged into it. Additionally, surge protectors are not supposed to be plugged into other surge protectors. Is it OK to plug a surge protector into a powerline adaptor without any issues?

EDIT: basically asking if it's OK to plug the surge protector into a filtered socket.

I don't see why that would be bad. It's just a wall outlet passthrough, or a filtered one at least. An you CAN plug multiple surge protectors/power strips into each other, just don't overload the circuit.

I thought you weren't supposed to chain surge protectors or else the protection device/ whatever wont function properly?
