Pc doesn't turn on

I have built a Pc with an old i7 4770. I had to buy a new mainboard, power supply and midi-tower and ram. I tried to turn it on but only the cpu fan is turning for three seconds and then it's off.

I haven't connected in the ssd yet but i should be able to boot into the Bois without any storage device connected right?

Please could you list all the specs? And have you plugged the CPU's power cable in? It's the one marked 'EPS', and it's usually a 4 pin or 4+4 pin connector, similar to a PCIe power connector.

You have forgotten to plug in the cpu power cable. Its the 4 pin one next to the cooler on the top left corner.

Okay i got another problem. Al fans are spinning and all lights of the mainboard and gpu are on but i can't get a video signal. Not from the gpu it self nor from the mainboard

I had a similar issue with the same board when I upgraded my i5 4430 to an i7 4790k in Dec 15.

 

When swapping over I installed everything correctly but the PC would not boot to bios. I had updated my BIOS to the latest available but that didn't do the trick. This caused me quite a bit of trouble and asus support were no help. In the end I needed to updated the bios on the mobo using the asus bios update tool.

 

Let me know if you think this could be the issue and I will go into more detail.

I was on a few other internet sides. The issue was at the ram.

Okay the pc turns on but it says nothing is connected...
