Are you sure its $18? It shows €19.99 for me (from €49.99). And testing with dlc, price doesn't change. If you are still confused, take screenshots. You can also try their support. Its slower than Origins but faster than Steams (took 48h to change my username).

Looks like i have to wait 3 months (After purchasing something) before i can make gifts. Don't really see why, or at least why 3 whole months, but whatever. Looks like my friend will have to wait for the next sale.

Since games themselves are drm-free, it might be their way to prevent unauthorized resellers from getting cheap keys and selling them on sites like G2A.
