please do not confuse after market for custom coolers.

 

Aftermarket: you go out an buy it and installing yourself (i.e. waterblocks, Accelero Extreme III, MK-26 etc).

Custom: all non-reference, but typically refereed to when looking at the board partners non-reference cards.

 

Typically aftermarket will destroy the customer board partners coolers, which in turn destroy the reference cooler, and water destroys everything.
