Advice needed for new PC build

I am upgrading my PC which currently is running:

i5-3570k
16GB 1866MHz RAM
Asus Sabertooth Z77 motherboard
GTX 660ti.
power supply and hard drives I feel are irrelevant.

What I am looking at purchasing is listed here: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/7yfX3F

Intel Core i7-7700K 4.2GHz Quad-Core Processor
Corsair H100i v2 70.7 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler
Asus STRIX Z270-E GAMING ATX LGA1151 Motherboard
G.Skill Ripjaws V Series 32GB (4 x 8GB) DDR4-3400 Memory
Asus GeForce GTX 1080 8GB STRIX Video Card
Cooler Master Storm Trooper ATX Full Tower Case
EVGA 850W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply

The case is the one I am already using. I'm planning on reusing it.

I am just looking for some advice on possible better value for my money and overall ratings of the build. Thanks to all in advance

Wait for Ryzen CPUs to buy new CPU, unless yours is broken it'll still be fine for 60hz gaming, Ryzen may get you more for your money

Do you actually need 32gbs of RAM? 1151 isn't quad channel, you'd want to use 2 large sticks most likely, but you really don't need super fast RAM

What's your display set up?

@Streetguru makes a point, wait for ryzen, if you can't wait, go with this build but use a asrock pro 4 mobo instead, much better aesthetics - got you a watercooled graphics card because why not, cost still comes out to about the same (will be 20 bucks lower with asrock pro 4 z270 mobo) without the case cost

You also did some HUGE overkill on that PSU.  Your system is going to take less than 400W.  Get a 550-600W PSU so you've got some headroom.

Make sure to quote or tag me (@JoostinOnline) or I won't see your response!

It's limit is about 120fps at 1440p, for reasonably high settings anyways, besides that I don't think 90% of people really care about VR, maybe when the generation 2 stuff comes out, and the total price for an HTC Vive 2 is around $500
