Hello community,

i'm currently building a PC for my sister who is an architect. She uses AutoCAD, AutoCAD 3D Map, SketchUp, excel, word and few similar programs.

She said her budget was around 500 eur excluding monitor and peripherals.

She won't be doing any heavy renders, as she can do them on another PC. But she needs the PC not to lag and that it can handle multiple programs open at once.

I've managed to pick a few parts but they are over the budget. :/

Here are my two builds.

1. Get a different PSU. Something like a Corsair CX450M, a Seasonic S12II 430B

2. Maybe more RAM, some programs love to use that and will benefit with many programs opening

3. Add an SSD to improve performance (faster Windows boot time, faster program launching)

i would get her a xeon or a i7 6700 non k sku as she won't be overclocking and the overclocking most likely wouldn't boost performance by that much, a better gpu such as a 470 would be optimal but the 1050ti works fine

Yeah i thought of an i7, but it doesn't really fit into the budget of 500-600 eur. I also like to think that the gpu won't be used as much for hardware acceleration. Maybe save on the gpu, spend more on the cpu?

you say euro, but you're using the USA Pcpartpicker. Theres a spanish, german, french, italian site, etc.

Personal build >  New-ish AMD main gaming setup

Don't buy a Gt 730 as they are pretty rubbish and an extra 4-8 gb of ram wouldn't go amis if she wants to have multiple applications open at once

also for most non gaming applications an i7 would be superior to an overclocked i5

I won't be buying any parts on the internet as the shipping and taxes for import are way too high in my country. I only use it as a reference to choose parts.

I guess i can go with a non-oc I7, and ill save on the aftermarket cooler and the mobo.
