keeping sound out..

maybe in the wrong location * let me know * but I'm trying to sound proof my computer room ( which shares a wall with our bedroom ), and to save my marriage I think ill keep my loud ass rage induced gaming nights to myself :)

I found these https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01KKNO9QW/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A24BVQ69RJOKWH on amazon.. is that a good start? or are there other mats that have more bang for your buck.

I'm open to ideas. thanks

Well if you want to acoustically dampen your room most effectively for the price. I would personally recommend buying from Alibaba or Aliexpress.

The majority of cheaper 'brands' on amazon purchase items from manufacturers and put their 'brand' name on them.

You can buy bulk too for very good prices, much cheaper than the amazon link you posted... and postage is usually free to the US ;)

If you want bulk for the whole room, Alibaba is the place to buy bulk. However that's not to say you can't buy bulk on Aliexpress too.

no those will not help much, those are basically made to remove eco. ofc it would lower the noise a tiny bit.

Sound isolation is expensive and takes a long time. You basically have to build a room within your room

Before you buy amp and dac.  My thoughts on the M50x  Ultimate Ears Reference monitor review I might have a thing for audio...

My main Headphones and IEMs:  K612 pro, HD 25 and Ultimate Ears Reference Monitor, HD 580 with HD 600 grills

DAC and AMP: RME ADI 2 DAC

Speakers: Genelec 8040, System Audio SA205

Receiver: Denon AVR-1612

Desktop: R7 1700, GTX 1080  RX 580 8GB and other stuff

Laptop: ThinkPad P50: i7 6820HQ, M2000M. ThinkPad T420s: i7 2640M, NVS 4200M

Plug in gaps between doors windows and vents. Except for that its down to wall thickness and materials.
So beyond getting a builder in I think it be cheaper to control your anger and learn to STFU.
