So I created the windows 10 installation media to use with my key on an 8gb flash drive. After windows is completely installed (which I did months ago and have had no problems with) can I use the usb like normal again. Or should I keep it with the media just in case?

You can format and use it as usual,  it's not obligatory that you have to keep win10 in it, it's not holding any of your personal files,  you can always remake a bootable USB later.

i'm going to move it from that usb (which is quite a nice one) and put it on another usb

I am not sure if it will work, it was designed to be burned to the USB stick not simply copy pasting though can not be so sure, best would be to reuse Creation tool

@likeaboz2002 Just reformat the drive to NTFS and wipe it clean. If you need to use it for installing Windows again, just download it through the Media Creation Tool. :)

If you have another PC then it just takes 15 minutes to remake another...

So no, there really is no need to keep windows on a USB if there is another PC you can use if yours fails.

It totally depends on OP's download speed. For my 1 Mb/s plan (pls don't SYH, Internet in Malaysia is expensive asf) it took me more than 5 hours to download the entire ISO, so every megabyte mattered dearly to me. :)

No one is talking about having more than one computer, except you. non sequitur. I can't respond to someone who makes up their own arguments just to say they're right.

Are you saying that you only have one computer in your house?

Do you live in 2008? :P
