All my USB ports randomly get disconnected and reconnected then disconnected again but this time nothing re-connects. This includes my headset, keyboard, mouse, and WiFi adapter. When i go to unplug a wire, lets say my mouse, then my PC restarts itself. I've worked with computers for over 10 years and never have ran into this problem.

Windows is freshly installed on a new SSD (PNY 120GB)
If i were to guess id say something is going on with my power supply.
i tried searching this problem but found nothing.

i installed windows about 2 hours before making this post and it has happened a total of 3 times already. i am also having a problem with things freezing randomly but that is for another thread.

Mine card reader was randomly disconecting when I plugged it into 3.0 usb and if done multiple times, It would freze the system.. It worked on 2.0 just fine tho. Incompatible.. But I don't think that PSU would just die when you plug sth that consumes 3W of power.. Maybe the MB is bad? I'm not an expert, but ports on MB that don't work or have problems are usually related to MB itself.. Sorry, I'm usless

I'd say the problem is with your motherboard not your PSU. Random disconnects happened to my old TUF series board and it pissed me off to no end; I swapped it for a Formula and now everything works perfectly. Though my system never restarted when I disconnected stuff so perhaps I'm wrong. How old is your board? When did this start occurring?
