Alright, so I decided to get a 1080p monitor and use my 1680x1050 as a secondary. Now all I have to do is try and decide what 1080p to buy. My price range is ~$200 and these ones caught my eye for the price. I did want a 16:10 display but those are out of my range for now and all I want is something HD. Can someone help me decide which one I should get out of these choices? If you have suggestions for others or tips, that would be cool too.

Don't get the Acer because it's a TN panel. The Dell has a glossy screen, if you have a a dark dungeon this doesn't matter. The ViewSonic one has a glossy vessel which I personally don't like. I would recommend this LG monitor http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824005240 . It has more adjustments on height, tilt, etc. And it also has great color reproduction

Okay, so between the LG and the Dell. What one should I choose. I am fine with glossy and have a rather dark room. The almost edgelessness of the Dell seems attractive(Plan on doing multidisplay at somepoint), but the LG looks like a little better of a monitor.

I don't know if the S series of Dell uses LG panels.

I know that all UltraSharp series are LG IPS panels (eIPS (6-bit color) for the low-end, and H-IPS or AH-IPS (both are true 8-bit colors) for the high end models)

Is 250$ to much?

Because you can get the U2312HM (http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/productdetail.aspx?c=us&l=en&cs=19&sku=320-2807&baynote_bnrank=1&baynote_irrank=0&~ck=baynoteSearch) It's 300$ regular price (free shipping). BUT, give Dell Small Buisness section a call (you don't need to be a buisness, just say you are freelancer or journalist or something, doesn't mater), and you can negotiate the price of the Dell monitor :)

I always do this, and get amazing deals. I assume at worst you'll get 50$ less, as this is a low end model, so profits are negligible for Dell.

It's really easy to negotiate with them, take a sec: You call them, say that you are interested in the monitor, ask questions about the monitor even if you know the answer, ask about the warranty to make a conversation, and then ask how much. He will tell you the price of the website and free shipping, hesitate a bit, and ask for a price, immediately they'll you give a good deal, like 50-60$ off :D, now if you really want, you can push perhaps a bit further, but yea.

Why the U2312HM?

-> Well reviews monitor, especially for the price

-> DVI, VGA and DisplayPort, giving you the ability to plug your computer with ease, and even laptop or tablet if you have DisplayPort on them (or HDMi to DVI, and use DisplayPort for the desktop).

-> Fully adjustable stand

-> High build quality

-> non glossy anything

-> 0 bright/stuck warranty.

-> 6 or more dead pixel warranty with no zones or distance crap policy. You could 6 or more -> replacement.

-> Like all Dell products, shipping is paid both directions by Dell. And for monitors, you get to keep it while the replacement arrives, which you just swamp them, in the box of the replacement monitor, you'll see a pre-paid shipping label, which you just stick over the old one and call the mail carrier to came and pick it up.

So as you can see it's definily worth the premium price, and the effort to call and negotiate. :)
