sli compatible?

It *should* be compatible, yes; however, bear in mind that your system will down clock the faster card to match that of the slower card. The PCB and power connectors are largely irrelevant.

However, there is a large percentage chance that they will NOT work together...

Not necessarily, some 970's are not compatible, even ones from the same manufacturer, theres a thread on EVGA forums stating which evga 970's (not msi granted) that and are not compatible.

 

@mathiasquach be careful and make sure you buy so you can return if they "play" together

oh okay, i saw this come by on a tomshardware post also. wich had multiple answers to it.

I had EVGA 970's and came across the thread whilst searching why I couldn't SLI after bios mod (I had to use the same modded bios on both cards rather than each card's own modded bios - go figure? lol) Lots of angry people on their forums
