is this product a genuine arduino? if it isn't will it at least be compatible with all of the references arduino has on the website? so i can use the authentic arduino functions and parts on this? along with the programming? do i need a different IDE for this product? or can i use the authentic arduino ones? i guess the real question is, will this work exactly like an original arduino?

its a "genuine" Arduino, it will get the job done. Arduino clones are  same as Arduino they perform the same function while being cheaper. you can order it and get it to work, good luck.

quick question, i will be using a sensor shield http://www.ebay.ca/itm/112209045653

and this lcd http://www.ebay.ca/itm/Serial-IIC-I2C-TWI-2004-LCD-Display-Module-F-Arduino-MEGA2560-UNO-R3-Breadboard-/221941978804?hash=item33acc5d6b4:g:f0oAAOSwcdBWSPkO

will they be compatible? because my budget is limited and i can't afford the stacking genuine boards

the motor shield will work

the lcd yes and no just remember the Arduino has vary limited cpu and gpu power, for simple task the lcd will be fine. if you want somthing like fancy graphic or something more complicaited get a pi.

but the lcd will fit on? without a breadboard? can it just connect to the sensor shield?

what about this one? it has up down buttons for setting the time, but it's also not stackable, what do i do? i need the sensor shield for the motor and the lcd panel which takes up the space of the sensor shield

nope the lcd  won't fit if you are using a motor shield, you have to wire it using connectors.

oh boy, with a bread board? wait but the first link i sent you had 4 pins, won't that just go onto the sensor shield??? im extremely confused right now

are you sure? it seems like i need the side to connect to the 4 pins, but the other side has 4 pins to connect into a port, there is no such port on http://www.ebay.ca/itm/112209045653 this sensor shield

wait will i need 2 power supplies then? or is there some kind of extension i can buy

depending on the motors, you can program to direct power to one motor at a time. unless you want to turn on all the motors at the same time.

will just be using one motor, the lcd and the arduino itself plus a bread board because it seems like i need one - but the breadboard and arduino have separate power, so do i need 2 power supplies? im currently looking at the super small breadboards http://www.ebay.ca/itm/5pcs-SYB-170-Mini-Breadboard-Colorful-Breadboard-Prototype-Board-Small-Plates-/380883191528?hash=item58ae6846e8:g:spwAAOSw7PBTo94B

how do i get a power supply on that?

if you motor requires more power than tech Arduino delivers yes, what is the rated volt of your psu?
