Help please

I just put in a new hard drive and booted up and my monitor won't display anything, so I put it through hdmi on my tv and it worked on there. I installed Windows and changed the resolution setting to 1080 and all of a sudden it my monitor comes on, so I sit down and take everything back to my computer room and boot up and no display on the monitor again. I took it back to my tv and installed drivers and tried changing resolution again but nothin g works this time. What could be the problem?

Reset your bios, maybe pull the CMOS if you can't get into BIOS

Otherwise set the resolution whenever you get a fresh install to like 800x600

Specs? What were the steps you took in installing the hard drive? Clear CMOS maybe?

Just a regular install not a custom

I don't see anything in the bios about a monitor
