My gaming rig (if you could call it that) is an older Dell XPS 8300 with an upgraded graphics card (GTX 1050 Ti). For the CPU, I have an Intel Core i5 2320. It is fine for my needs now (the most intensive game I play right now on the PC is Star Wars Battlefront), but how long is this CPU going to last until it becomes a severe bottleneck? I don't have the money to get a real upgrade right now. And when is a good time to upgrade? When Ryzen/Vega comes out? I would need a new Mobo too.

Thanks in advance.

It's time to upgrade when your GPU or CPU becomes a limiting factor and not a moment sooner.

How much longer your CPU will last will depend on what settings you play at and what GPU you have, but a 1060 would be bottlenecked a decent bit in some games and more in others....so with a 1050Ti you should be fine basically forever.
