IPS vs a very good TN

VirusStorm

Would still go with a IPS for content creation. A very good TN would probably have better response time and higher refresh rates, but that's not very important outside of high-speed gaming.

Price is also a huge factor. Is there a BIG difference?

I dunno where you live but a nice IPS display where I live is about the same price as a high refresh rate TN. So if you look around you can probably get a decent brand IPS for a decent price. ( I tend to avoid the no name chinese and korean ones, but you a couple of gems here or there.)

I would suggest an EIZO EV2456 IPS Monitor (around 500 $).

If you want a cheaper one chose DELL U2415H (around 300 $).
