The RX470 is quite drastically more powerful. No reason to get the 1050ti.

I'd take a RX 470 over a 1050 ti hands down. No fanboy stuff here, this is coming from a 1070 owner.

I suppose because RX470 and GTX1050Ti priced similarly. People assume they will have similar performance. Good trick from Nvidia.

 

RX470 is a far more powerful card than the GTX1050Ti. Actually similar to GTX1060 3GB. Just make sure not to get the reference model of RX470.
