Hey everyone i have Zotac GTX 1080 Extreme. In some games, (for example GTA 5, Rainbow Six Siege, Counter-Strike Global Offensive) i having GPU usage drops and making stuttering for a moment.

Usually it's going between %95-99 but for a moment drops to %40, I even saw %2... I playing with 144hz 1080P monitor but i tried with 2K or 8x MSAA, it's making it worse... Making more laggy struggle for that a moment.

But didn't see a problem in Battlefield 1, Star Wars Battlefront, Mafia 3, Hitman, Rise of the Tomb Raider... I don't understand if there is a problem. Is anyone having this issue? And is there any solution?

Had a similar problem with my 1070. I thought it was related to my cpu (FX8350) haven't really found the root cause

tried changing pre render frames to 1 then back to 4. tried turning on Prefer maximum performance in geforce manager. it did stop for a bit not sure if i solved it or not.

(pre render frames) Is it making any FPS loss? or is there a bad side effect?

Maximum performance making the game very ugly btw.

edit: I just realized, it could still stuttering without GPU Usage drop... And i tried your solution now, it's making it worse. More stuttering.
