Free Microsoft software as a student?

Go to solution Solved by MrMcMuffinJr,

Microsoft does offer word, powerpoint, excel, and onedrive free for students. https://products.office.com/en-us/student/office-in-education

Microsoft has a program where you get a lot of their software for free if your school has an account with them. I forget what the program is called though, but you basically get just about every single Microsoft application for free while you attend that school.

If you have an office 365 account.

The school gives you one with your school account I think - it'll be attached to your school email address. I forget how it works but it's simple to get set up if your school uses it.

You just log in and there is a link at the top that says download Microsoft office suite, or you can click on a tile for the program you wish to use/download.

I just use google docs though.

Did they change it to just Office365 Student? The program was called something when I was attending college last year: you basically could get Powerpoint, Word, Visio, a free copy of Windows 7, anything for free basically.

I click on student e-mail on my school website, and I log into my office 365 account, and I can go to my e-mail, download office 2016, use an office program online (Like google docs), or use some other web applications.

I remember what it was called now. It was Microsoft Dreamspark but they have since changed it to Microsoft Imagine.

But I also used Google docs sometimes when I could get away with it. It was more helpful for group projects since it's cloud-based.

google docs is my favorite. It has everything I need. Font, size, italics bold underline and I can log in on any computer. No need for me to bring anything to class. Not even a flash drive.

Truuu. It was a godsend in my system analysis class since my class partner and I had conflicting schedules outside of class.
