So my friend asked me for help with her pc as she was having issues with lag and fps drops in WOW, the lag was a bad internet connection and this i helped fix but her fps drops got worse so literally she will have 80 fps and then it will drop to 2.....go to 40 then back to 80 and then be stable a bit and go back to 2 and so on..... i switched the gtx 970 out with a spare i had and it got more fps as it is a better 970 so like 6 more fps but still the drops, her cpu useage is only about 50% and her ram is good as well as the GPU so i wonder what the issue is that is causing this? could it be a bad cpu causing fps drops? maybe a bad ssd as it is a cheaper one? ideas?

specs?

check ram usage, set thread priority to high, etc?

ram useage is only about a third of her 16 gigs, her cpu is only being used about 40% or 50 on spikes so no need to set high priority. her ram seems slow though, in windows it reads as running at 686 or somthing like that whare as in the bios it is set to 1333
