Changing GPU's

What are the steps for changing  a video card?

Unscrew the brackets at the back where it connects to the case

Remove power

Pull the switch (this depends on mobo) 

Pull it out

Put the new one in

Put the power connectors in

Screw the brackets in

Step 1 unscrew the screws from the GPU hold.

Step 2 press the little fin on the side of the pci e slot and pull it out, oh and pull out your power.

Step 3 insert the new card, mount it, and plug in the power.

Hot swap? As in changing the card while its running. I don't think that is very safe.

oh shit hot swapping! That doesn't sound safe at all. Only low wattage components are normally meant to do that.

No, I wouldn't do it while the video card is running. I thought "Hot swapping" is when you just simply change them lol. I was wrong there!
