DIY MIDI triggers

Phieus

OK, the question is simple: how do I build external MIDI triggers. My idea is to create a custom MIDI instrument that I can hook up to my MacBook and use the MIDI triggers in GarageBand.

I do believe in a god: Libertina, the goddess of the sea, apple pie, certain types of ice cream and short bits of string.

Just like @Himommies said, its easier (and better) if you buy a midi pad/controller. I've had a good experience with the older version of this one: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1059971-REG/akai_mpkmini2_mpk_mini_2_keyboard.html

Now you see I'd like to have this so I can also trigger things in games like Rockband
