I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Also don't get a 850w psu for a 250w system and bad gpu choice.  Get the 1050 ti, 4gb of ddr5 is way better and 2gb

There's a significantly probable possibility that the motherboard you picked will need a BIOS update before it works with that CPU (or any Broadwell CPUs).

Yeah, but how is he going to get the BIOS updated? He'll either have to send it to the manufacturer and pay for shipping (in addition to the inconvenience) or find a computer store to do it for him. The required BIOS update (7.10) for Kabylake was released in Mid-November 2016. I think it's likely that he'll get a board with an older BIOS, since the update hasn't been out for too long.

 

Going back to a 6600k is a better decision here.

if he has any other computer he can put it on a flash drive, BIOS updates arent hard
